This is my favorite Indian food. The food is not overly spicy but is all very flavorful. The quality is very good. Small parking lot in the back or street parking is available.

Everything was pretty amazing at this Indian restaurant. I think it's a hidden gem actually. By the time I was done eating, there was a crowd of Indian people outside waiting in line to get in. I ordered the Butter chicken, chicken Rogan Josh, Tandoori chicken, lemon fried rice and garlic naan. Everything was really good. I don't regret ordering any of it. Servers were all very polite and pleasant despite how busy they were. I highly recommend this place.

We have eaten here several times and unquestionably it is the best Indian restaurant on Oahu. I have had meals in India while living there for a period of time and my wife and I have eaten at several Indian restaurants here and on the mainland throughout the decades, and Spice Up is worthy of 5 stars. She eats "very spicy" and I mild, and every time the food is prepared perfectly. The staff is friendly and very attentive. J.R. Siebert

I got take out from here today and ordered their butter chicken and garlic naan bread. Their butter chicken is creamy and bit sweet. I still enjoyed it though! I especially loved their garlic naan bread! Probably best naan bread I've ever had with real garlic on it! I was surprised to see an actual parking lot in the back but be careful when coming in and out of that parking lot because it's narrow and only one car can go out at a time.

It's hard to find a good Indian food on the island but Spice Up is the only one we found so far to be consistently good for our cravings! Our favorite thing to order here is the Lamb Rogan Josh and garlic naan. We liked the other dishes we ordered as well! So far we had only one miss which was the Tandoori Chicken. Not sure if it was an off day but the Tandoori chicken was really dry, so I'd skip it next time. They don't serve alcohol, so it's byob. I suggest coming here on the early side for dinner otherwise they start to get a line after 6pm

What the heck -- 5 stars! We're loyal regulars at Maharani Cafe (seriously, it's our go-to spot for Indian on the island), but after hearing some good things, we decided to give Spice Up House of Indian Cuisine on King Street a shot. And wow, it didn't disappoint. The vibe is pretty no-frills, but that's kind of part of the charm. It's not about fancy décor here, it's about the food and the service. They checked in on us a bunch, making sure we were happy, which we definitely were. We ordered a spread -- garlic naan, lamb rogan josh, chicken vindaloo, samosa, and a vegetable biryani. Each dish was bursting with flavor. The naan was soft and perfectly garlicky, and the lamb rogan josh had this rich, hearty sauce that I couldn't stop dipping into. The chicken vindaloo had that ideal balance of heat and spice, without being overwhelming. The portions did look a little smaller than what we're used to at Maharani, but honestly, they were super filling. And the prices were really reasonable, so it's hard to complain. Definitely a place we'll keep in mind if our first choice is full!

This is one of the best Indian restaurants on the island! The food is authentic and tasty! It's located on South King street and has a small parking lot in the back, the entrance is narrow and could be easily missed so drive slowly. The inside is a little small with a couple tables, but clean and nicely decorated. The service is always friendly and quick. Depending on the time of day, it could get pretty busy, but the times I've gone, I was lucky to be seated right away. This time, I shared the samosa, butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, kadhaii paneer, garlic cheese naan bread, and mango lassi. The curries were all very flavorful with a nice kick. The portions may look small, but they are very filling and I always end up with leftovers to take home. I highly recommend this place!

Lunch out on a Sunday is a nice delightful change. Got there shortly after they opened and lots of parking in the back parking lot at 11 am. If you're in a low carb phase like me... oh well, garlic naan and mango lassi cannot be sacrificed no matter what. Just have to swab up the delicious sauces and temper my palate with that drink and ordered mild. Chose butter chicken and tandoori shrimp too. If eating regularly I'd also get the biryanis, chicken tikka masala and more types of naan plus curry. The ethnic music makes me happy there. The restaurant slowly got packed but the food kept coming out of the kitchen. When people place take out orders and customers are willing to wait for a table outside you know it's good here.
